The remodel of LB Construction’s central office consisted of a combined 15,000 square feet of individual offices, conference room, central “war room”, individual restrooms, and employee lounge. The existing office building was completely gutted for the renovation. A portion of the existing exterior storefront systems were extended to create additional office space. In addition, storefront heights were reduced to provide privacy from parking and pedestrian circulation, while maximizing wall space and maintaining natural day lighting. In addition, operable windows were provided to lower energy consumption, allowing natural cross circulation of outside air.
The existing roof structure was limited in height, and in an effort to maximize ceiling heights, mechanical ductwork was routed through interior soffits, combined with coved indirect lighting.
Casework was coordinated with curved walls and soffits. Direct lighting accents wall art displays. Central work spaces receive natural light through dividing wall fenestration. Ninety percent of the acoustical ceiling tiles were painted and reinstalled to reinforce a warm color scheme.
